This image from NASA Dawn spacecraft of asteroid Vesta shows hows a large impact crater whose rim is rather smoothed and degraded. There are many smaller, younger craters surrounding and inside of this crater and these have sharper, fresher rims.

Ver en NASA ↗NASA Dawn spacecraft obtained this image of the surface of asteroid Vesta with its framing camera on August 11, 2011. It was taken through the camera clear filter. The image has a resolution of about 260 meters per pixel.
Ver en NASA ↗This image from NASA Dawn spacecraft of asteroid Vesta shows Urbinia and Sossia craters, located in Vesta Urbinia quadrangle. Urbinia is the large crater, and Sossia is the small crater surrounded by dark material in the bottom of the image.
Ver en NASA ↗These images from NASA Dawn spacecraft are located in asteroid Vesta Urbinia quadrangle, in Vesta southern hemisphere. Urbinia crater is the large, irregularly shaped crater, Sossia the middle-sized crater.
